Wardrobe, executed by André Sornay et Cie, Lyon, France | Designed and manufactured in the 1930s
Wardrobe made in ‘cloutage’ technique and patented by Sornay in 1932: fine layers of plywood fixed with bands of brass tacks to a solid wood frame; stained dark brown; brass handle
The light material and the elegantly curved cabinet doors suggest that A. Sornay was inspired from the aircraft design at its time when he designed this wardrobe.
