Formerly an architecture student at the ETH in Zurich, Heinz Meister focussed on design and artistic ceramics from 1919. The renowned ceramist was a member of the Swiss Werkbund from 1926. He exhibited his work at the Musée d'art et d'histoire in Geneva and at the Landi 1939 in Zurich, among others. Today, some of Meister's works can be found in the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. The studio existed from 1920 to 1961.
