Seating set consisting of two armchairs and a settee, manufactured by Gebrüder Thonet, model no. 6544 (armchair) and 6244 (settee), Vienna | Designed in 1914
Beechwood, stained to mahogany and polished. Upholstery and fabric renewed. Fabric in dark blue by Backhausen, Vienna
This seating set was designed at Thonet's design workshop under the direction of O. Prutscher. It continued to be produced after the First World War, presumably due to the popularity of this model. Uhlíř refers to the Thonet-Mundus catalogue from 1928. He provides evidence that O. Prutscher himself was the designer of this model.
