Frame made of solid ash wood; seat made of ropes
When designing the ‘Harp’ chair Jørgen Høvelskov was inspired by a Viking ship's bow. The seat, which is stretched out of ropes, gives it a strong visual presence. At the same time, the covering gives it a special lightness. The chair is now part in various collections of renowned museums, including the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein and the Neue Sammlung in Munich. It is also documented in the design literature (see below).
